Are your meals frozen?

Our meals are always fresh. They have never been frozen or frozen. It is possible to freeze certain dishes and the freezing information on the container.

How do I reheat my meal?

(For most meals)
In the microwave: Remove the lid and heat for 2 to 3 minutes. In the oven: Transfer your meal to an ovenproof dish. Put in a preheated oven at 350F and heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir a few times. Frozen cooking: Place in a preheated oven at 400F for 15 to 20 minutes. Stir a few times.

Are your dishes recyclable or compostable?

Our dishes and our labels are made of Kraft cardboard. They must be rinsed and recycled. Lids and small containers are made of PLA vegetable plastic. They are not recyclable but they go to the compost. Our delivery boxes can be recycled, it is important to remove the aluminum film so that it is properly recycled.

What is PLA plant plastic?

PLA vegetable plastic is a fully biodegradable thermoplastic polymer that uses renewable raw materials. The acronym PLA comes from the English word Polylactic Acid, which is translated into French by poly lactic acid. The PLA used for the containers and the lid is made from corn starch. Is it possible to have a recipe from a previous week?

At this time, it is not possible to recommend a recipe from previous weeks. In the near future, we would like to have some of our customers' favorite recipes coming back more frequently. Let us know your favorite recipes on our social networks or by email.

If I have an allergy or intolerance, how can I be sure the dish is streak-free?

The ingredients are written on the website when you place your order as well as on the container. The main allergens are also indicated. If you ever have more specific questions, contact us. Please note that the meals are made in an environment where there may be traces of gluten, nuts, peanuts or others.

Do you make gluten-free or lactose-free dishes?

Yes, we have the option of making lactose-free or gluten-free meals every week. In addition, we indicate the ingredients on the site and on the container. Note that the meals are made in an environment where there may be traces of gluten.

The family portion is for how many people?

The family portion is more than enough for 2 adults and 2 children. It is also possible to add extra protein to increase your portions.

How do I reheat my dish?

It is indicated on our containers what you need to do to reheat it, but we recommend reheating your meal in the oven or on the stove (after removing the ingredients from the container). It is possible to put the container in the microwave (after removing the lid).

Do you have vegan or vegetarian dishes?

Yes, we add new vegetarian or vegan recipes every week. It is possible to have the animal protein removed for certain meals. Contact us for more information.

Is it possible to remove ingredients from a recipe?

For some meals, it is possible to remove ingredients. It is not always possible for a matter of time or simply because the recipe will not be as good without certain ingredients.

How long can I keep my dish?

Each meal has a different preservation time. (Normally between 3 and 5 days) You can refer to the label on the container to know the storage time.

Can I freeze my meal?

Our containers aren't made to go in the freezer, but you can transfer your meals to freezer-safe dishes for longer storage. Freezing information is written on the container. Note that not all meals go in the freezer. Some products are not resistant to freezing.


ORDERS

Orders must be made before Thursday 6 p.m. Delivery will be on Monday.

I forgot to order and the Thursday 6 p.m. deadline has passed. Is it possible to order?

It is sometimes possible to be able to accommodate you, but it is not guaranteed that we will have extra portions. Contact us to check the possibility.

Is there a promotion for referring new customers?

Yes, we have a referral program. New customers who have been referred by a regular customer are entitled to a 10% discount each on a new order over $30 before taxes. Contact us for more information.

Is it possible to order by means other than on the website?

Yes, you can contact us by phone at 514-805-6461 to place your order. You will need to make payment by Interac transfer.

If I have a problem or error with my order, what should I do?

In case of problem, contact us so that we can find a solution to satisfy you.

What are the possible means of payment?

We accept the following means of payment: Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover and Interac transfer (for Interac transfer contact us).

Until when can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order until Friday noon free of charge. Beyond this moment, you can cancel your order, but the payment will be retained. Note that Homemade Kale is not responsible for delivery. For any problem with the dishes, contact us.


DELIVERY

How does delivery work with Courant Plus and Chasseur Courrier?

After placing your order on our site, you will receive a confirmation email. Delivery will be on Monday. Delivery people are allowed to leave your order at the door if no one answers. You are responsible for picking up your order as quickly as possible. Homemade Kale, Chasseur Courrier and Courant Plus are not responsible for meal box theft.

How much is shipping?

The cost of delivery is calculated when ordering on the site. Order in the central Montreal area: $6 Order in the rest of the island of Montreal: $12

What should I do if I am not there during the delivery?

The delivery box is insulated and there is an ice pack to keep your meals cool. It is strongly recommended not to leave your box outside for several hours. Ask a friend, family or neighbor to pick up your box if you need to be away for a few hours. We are not responsible for the freshness of meals if they are left in the box for several hours.

Yes, we want to make special menus for your holiday parties and for your dinners with family or friends. Also, we would like to make special menus for certain events.
